What is SEO ?

Search Engine Optimization, or popularly known as SEO, is a technique to keep your website or content above others in a search result. It is a part of Internet Marketing or Search Engine Marketing. Whenever we hit the enter key after typing, a lot happens in the backend of what we see. Every input that we enter gets analysed over the web. Once considered a black hat thing, but now ethically used worldwide, SEO is one of the best-paced tools to make your website or content top the search results.

Many courses are available online that teach you about Search Engine Optimization. Still, it is best to get your content refined or filtered by an expert as it is not a one-day task to learn about the SEO. Also, the Search engines' algorithms keep changing; therefore, one always needs to keep himself or herself updated to the latest SEO hacks and algorithms to improve the rank in the search engines' output. Keywords play a significant role in SEO techniques. One needs to be up to date with the latest keywords added or removed from the algorithms. There are three types of SEOs with each having its significance. They are –

1.On-Page SEO

On-page SEO is linked to the content on your website. It includes strategies to optimize each web page on a website. This type of SEO involves keyword research. Publishing high-quality content focused on target keywords, keyword optimization for using the goal keyword in all the right places, and using reasonable meta tag and meta description help in the on-page SEO.

2.Technical SEO

Technical SEO includes strategies to improve a site's backend structure and foundation. Technical SEO improves a site's readability and provides a good user experience, which helps search engines see that the site is of high quality. Good user experience is also necessary for readers and can affect overall traffic and engagement rates. This includes website speed, parsing, and mobile-friendliness.

3.Off-page SEO

Off-page SEO techniques help to improve the relationship your website has with other sites. It includes strategies and ways to build a website's reputation and authority. These factors contribute to search engines to see that a website is an ideal search result from a reputable, reliable, trusted source.

An SEO process is rightly defined as "the way of increasing the overall quantity and quality of traffic to your website through publicly used search engine results." Applying SEO tricks and techniques to your website will give a significant boost to its reach. People generally view the result which appears at the top of the Google output. Anyone would always click the thumbnail on YouTube that appears at the first or second search output position. Continuously improving your SEO allows your business to get found online by potential customers, which increases qualified traffic to your website and your store. The more qualified traffic you're getting, the more leads you can convert into your customers. SEO has become a necessary tool for digital marketing in all kinds of businesses.
